There is a hidden world all around us, a world of spirits, angels, and demons, a world that is unseen by our natural eyes but is no less real. This is the supernatural world, and it is the world that the Bible speaks about.
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the supernatural world. This is due in part to the popularity of books and movies that deal with supernatural themes. But it is also due to a growing sense that there is more to life than what we can see and touch.
The Bible has much to say about the supernatural world. In fact, the supernatural is woven into the very fabric of the Bible. From the opening chapters of Genesis to the closing chapters of Revelation, the Bible is filled with stories of angels, demons, and miracles.
But what does the Bible really say about the supernatural world? And how can we apply this knowledge to our own lives?
Angels
Angels are created beings who serve God. They are often depicted as having wings and wearing white robes. Angels are powerful beings, and they can appear to humans in a variety of forms.
The Bible says that there are many different types of angels. Some angels are responsible for carrying out God's commands, while others are responsible for protecting and guiding humans.
Angels are not to be worshipped. They are created beings, and they are not equal to God.
Demons
Demons are fallen angels. They are evil spirits who rebelled against God and were cast out of heaven.
Demons are powerful beings, but they are not as powerful as God. They can tempt and deceive humans, but they cannot force us to do anything against our will.
Demons are not to be feared. We can resist them through the power of Christ.
Spiritual Warfare
Spiritual warfare is the battle between the forces of good and evil. This battle is fought in the unseen world, but it has a real impact on our lives.
We are all involved in spiritual warfare. We are either fighting on the side of God or on the side of Satan.
The Bible tells us that we can win the battle against spiritual warfare by putting on the armor of God.
The armor of God is described in Ephesians 6:10-18. It consists of the following pieces:
- The belt of truth
- The breastplate of righteousness
- The shoes of the gospel of peace
- The shield of faith
- The helmet of salvation
- The sword of the Spirit
When we put on the armor of God, we are protected from the attacks of the enemy.
Christian Living
The supernatural world has a profound impact on our Christian living. We need to be aware of the unseen forces that are at work in our lives, and we need to be able to resist the temptations of the enemy.
The Bible gives us many practical tips for living a victorious Christian life. These tips include:
- Praying regularly
- Reading the Bible
- Fellowshipping with other believers
- Serving others
- Resisting temptation
Bible Study
The Bible is the best resource for learning about the supernatural world. The Bible is filled with stories, teachings, and principles that can help us to understand the unseen world and to live a victorious Christian life.
If you want to learn more about the supernatural world, I encourage you to study the Bible. You can also find helpful resources online and in your local library.
Spiritual Growth
As we grow in our understanding of the supernatural world, we will also grow in our spiritual lives. We will become more aware of God's presence in our lives, and we will be more able to resist the temptations of the enemy.
Growing in our understanding of the supernatural world is a lifelong process. But it is a process that is well worth taking. As we grow in our understanding, we will grow in our faith and in our ability to live a victorious Christian life.
